Diverse meals are served three times daily and are accompanied with delights such as homemade breads, pastries, and desserts. While you’ll get to choose your own pace on the ranch—your taste buds will be in overdrive!

Breakfast

You’ll wake in the morning to the cool Colorado air, sunny skies, and a sense of relaxation you haven’t felt in a long time. Sip a warm mug of coffee on your private porch or along the banks of the river before strolling over to the historic lodge where a warm breakfast of cowboy cuisine awaits you. There you’ll be greeted by our friendly staff and met by the welcoming aroma of wholesome cooking. Get started with some of our homemade sweet breads, a warm bowl of oatmeal, yogurt, bagel or fresh fruits over by our a-la-cart station, or sit down and order from our full breakfast menu with its French toast and pancakes, eggs made to your liking, bacon, sausage and much more. You’ll love our daily specials including corned-beef hash, biscuits and gravy, breakfast quesadillas, chicken-fried steak and Cheri’s famous flying blueberry pancakes to name a few.

Join us Wednesday on our scenic Breakfast Ride for an authentic cowboy meal cooked over the fire along the river’s edge! Our hearty breakfasts will prepare you for a lively day on our Colorado Guest Ranch.

Lunch

After your morning on your horse, you’ll join us back at the dude ranch’s screened-in river porch overlooking the Colorado River to refuel for the rest of your day. Our substantial buffet lunches have something for everyone and we invite you to try it all. Each day our chef will surprise you with their ever-changing menu. Western bar-be-cue, Mexican fare, homemade soups and soft breads are just a small sampling of the home-style cowboy cuisine offered. There’s always a sandwich station available for the kids and every lunch is accompanied by a complete salad bar.

You won’t want to forget about our homemade breads, pastries, and desserts—so try and save some room!

Dinner

Come evening, you’ll be ready to wind down from the day’s adventures and relax with family and new friends over a dinner. It all begins Sunday with our Orientation Dinner in Bar Lazy J’s historic lodge. Meet your hosts, other guests and staff, and learn what your week at the one of the best all inclusive resorts in Colorado entails, while you enjoy the fire and your first savory meal here with us.

Monday, Wednesday and Thursday are real western cookouts serving up rustic cowboy cuisine on our screened porch overlooking the Colorado River. The rest of the evenings, you’ll enjoy delicious plated meals back in our lodge, including Friday Night’s Adults-Only Dinner while the kids enjoy a homemade pizza and ice cream party on the River Porch.

Some examples of our chef’s delicious specialties include: grilled steak and shrimp, smoked bar-be-que, fresh salmon, Cornish game hen, wild boar pork chops, rainbow trout, prime rib, bison short ribs and so much more!

Meals start with fresh salads, breads and appetizers and end with a daily dessert special. Ranch Liquor Post

Beverages of your choice are welcome during your stay, bring your own, or visit our High Lonesome Liquor Post, open from 11am-9pm every day. You’ll find an excellent selection of red and white wines, domestic and craft beers, canned cocktails and more! Guests 21 and older can grab a cold drink on your way back from your ride and enjoy it by the riverside with friends, or pick a bottle of wine to dinner and enjoy with your meal. Please note that since our own family is split between meat and non-meat eaters, we recognize and appreciate guests’ variance in appetites and dietary needs. With advance notice, we will do our best to accommodate your preferences during your dude ranch vacation, adding to what makes us one of the best all inclusive resorts in Colorado. No one is excluded, adults and kids with allergies can have their own special choice of desserts, too! If you would like seconds at any meal, please don’t hesitate to ask – we always have plenty.
