Your Colorado All Inclusive getaway includes lodging in our Cabins or Ranch House. Ranch lodging accommodates ranch guests in 12 comfortable, private log cabins—each is uniquely named after famous fishing flies or wildflowers. Our Ranch Lodging Is Cowboy Authentic…and Cozy! While the original log cabins have been modernized, the look of the “Old West” has been retained at our Colorado all inclusive guest ranch. The majority of our dude ranch cabins sit along the beautiful Colorado River, so you and your family can share memories relaxing in our log riverside furniture by day and stargaze under the big Colorado night sky every evening. Even our two largest cabins are set only just a short distance further from the water and make it convenient for everyone to enjoy the beautiful views and ranch activities.
Our Cabins:
Our cabins, which are cleaned daily and given an evening turndown service, can comfortably accommodate from two to eight guests depending on the particular cabin. We offer one and two bedroom cabins that were once only canvas tents with individual wood stoves! Today you’ll find much more luxurious amenities than guests over 100 years ago enjoyed, but within the logged walls, you can still find sections of the canvas tents that were eventually enclosed.
Each cabin offers an open or screened-in porch within view and a short walk of the river and when you call, we’ll help match you with the perfect cabin(s) available to meet the needs of your family. Within you’ll find King or Queen-size beds, twin beds in the 2nd bedrooms, dressers, closets, lovely western furnishings, bright rugs, and a variety of modern day amenities, such as soft linens, coffeemaker, refrigerator and much more.
Cabin Amenities include daily cleaning service, private bathrooms, private screened porches, fridge and coffee makers, free laundry service, and most cabins have river views.
The Ranch House:
When the Helmicki family arrived at the Bar Lazy J Guest Ranch in 1995, they made the Ranch House their home. Today, this charming house is available for guests seeking premium ranch lodging.
Spanning 2,000 square feet, the Ranch House provides privacy and tranquility in a serene setting. With three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a full kitchen, a dining area, a laundry room, a porch, a fireplace, and two living rooms, it’s perfect for families, reunions, or gatherings of friends. Guests enjoy daily housekeeping and a spacious porch ideal for relaxing, playing cards, reminiscing, or diving into a book from our library.
The layout includes a cozy first living room with leather furniture and a fireplace. To the right are the kitchen and laundry room. Beyond the entry is a second living room with a large picture window for watching the playful antics of our baby goats. Downstairs, the master bedroom features a King bed, fold-down futon, and full bath. Upstairs, a large bedroom with three twin beds and a ¾ bath connects to a medium-sized bedroom with a King bed and beautiful river views.
